DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION POLICY
Queensboro Dance Festival is committed to cultivating, embodying, and upholding a workplace culture of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). It is a necessary and inherent nature of our organization, strongly aligned with and reflective of our mission, values, and programs to properly serve our community.
We uphold a workplace where we embrace differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and veteran status among employees, independent contractors, volunteers, staff, and board members. We respect and value the variety of perspectives, life experiences, and cultures, and provide equal opportunities where all voices feel heard. We recognize that diversity, inclusion, and equity are keys to the success of our mission, and also fosters creativity, collaboration, and engagement.
DEI initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and recreational programs; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of diversity, inclusion, and equity that encourages and enforces:
